The story
Our lion is inspired by Aslan, from The Chronicles of Narnia.
A husband, a father, a pastor, and an entrepreneur. That last one he never planned on.
Trey’s plan was full-time ministry. He earned a seminary degree from Bethel Seminary and had every intention of using it. But God had a bigger plan.
He landed at The Mount Vernon School, an independent school in North Atlanta, where he led brand and creative work. He was also a teacher for high school and middle school students. These 10 years shaped him in ways he could never imagine, including the vision for Roar.
The school was a place to grow and learn to collaborate with others to build a brand from nothing to national recognition. Helping brands determine who they wanted to become and creating that future through brand, marketing, and creative became his aspiration. In 2021, he decided to take a leap of faith, taking what he learned at the school to serve other incredible organizations.
Trey is the third in a line of Lawrences and entrepreneurs, which may be why the calling finally caught up with him. The name Roar is a promise about courage. It’s a willingness to confront ambiguity and make the braver choice.
