Who we help · Independent schools
We help independent schools clarify their story, identity, and brand strategy.
The short version
After three school visits, a family sits down at the dinner table and tries to figure out which one felt right. What they remember about you is your brand. We help you clarify it and make sure it shows up everywhere families look, from marketing to on-campus experiences.
Why us
We worked as leaders in schools just like you.
You do not have to explain your world to an outsider. Before Roar, Trey was the Chief Brand Strategist and a teacher at The Mount Vernon School. Work with a team that has sat in senior leadership meetings. We have felt the weight of the re-enrollment season. Roar has worked with schools and education-adjacent clients since the day we started. We cannot get far from our roots.

Agency on Record
Need ongoing brand and creative support?
Many schools do not need a full brand marketing department. They need senior strategy and on-call creative for the projects and campaigns that matter most, without a full-time hire. We become that team, serving as an extension of your staff for the most impactful work.

Frequently Asked Questions
A few things you might be wondering
Can I afford you?
Yes. But the honest truth is we do not treat our schools like a gig. We choose to work with a handful of clients because we are in it for the long haul, building relationships over years, not a single project. You have three levers when you pick a partner: good, cheap, and fast. Schools need to move quickly, and you want quality that lasts the investment. We believe our work is worth the price.
Why do I need an agency?
If there is one thing Trey would do all over again as a MarComm leader in schools, it is this: use outside help where expertise matters. The day-to-day handling of school communications is irreplaceable and should be handled in-house. But the projects that make the biggest strategic impact and the heaviest lift make the most sense to consider outsourcing. Most schools do not have the professionals on staff to jump into those projects. That is where we come in.
Do you just hand us a strategy or deliverable and leave?
No. That is the difference between a partner and a consultant. Plenty of firms deliver a beautiful plan and let you figure out the rest. We stay and do the work with you, from the strategy to the pieces families actually see. You get the thinking and the execution, not a binder on a shelf.
Do you really get school?
Our favorite way to break the ice in a discovery session is to ask about the last time you had to send out a lice letter. Yeah, we have done that. Half of our team has worked in education full-time at some point. We are creative professionals and education practitioners.
Do the research.
